Privacy Policy
I. Personal Information Processing Policy

Doctors on the Cloud (hereinafter referred to as “DOCL”) collects, uses, and provides personal information of users based on their consent. DOCL values users’ personal information, actively guarantees users’ rights (the right to self-determination of personal information) and complies with related laws and guidelines such as the Personal Information Protection Act. The “personal information processing policy” means a guideline that the company should follow so that users can use the service with confidence by protecting users’ valuable personal information. In the case of revising the personal information processing policy, the reason for the change and the contents of the change will be announced through the service app and homepage screen according to the procedures prescribed by the relevant laws and regulations. This personal information processing policy applies to the “COVID-19 CheckUp App Service” (hereinafter referred to as “Service”) provided by DOCL.



II. The Types and Methods of Personal Information Collection DOCL collects the minimum personal information required to provide services.

① Types of personal information collection
A. For service signing up
a. Required: e-mail address, password, name
B. For service using and processing
a. Required: gender(biological), date of birth, height, weight, smoking status, degree of disability, boy temperature
b. Selection: medical history, symptoms
· ‘Required’: information for providing essential functions of the service.
· ‘Selection’: additional information for providing more individual specialized services (no restriction on service use if not entered).
② Method of personal information collection
A. Make sure to notify the user in advance, obtain consent, and collect personal information through following methods.
a. The user directly enters and provides it through the service app or web page when signing up.
b. The user directly enters and provides it through the service app or web page while using service.



III. Purpose of Using Personal Information DOCL utilizes the collected personal information in the following ways.

① Member management and service provision
A. Member management and identification for conclusion, implementation, and termination of a contract on service provision.
B. Record preservation for user communication service and dispute resolution.
C. Notice of changes in function, service item, or policy of the service.
D. Detection and prevention of unauthorized or illegal use of service.
② Service improvement and development of new service
A. Development of new services by collecting data on service use.
B. Personalized service
③ Purpose of using and sharing COVID-19 related information



IV. Information Disclosure Policy for Third Parties

DOCL utilizes personal information within the scope specified in ‘III. Purpose of Using Personal Information’. In principle, personal information is not provided to third parties without legal basis of prior consent from the user.



V. Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information

In principle, DOCL completely deletes the information without delay if the purpose of collecting and utilizing personal information agreed by the user is achieved. However, if it is deemed necessary to preserve it according to internal policies or related laws and regulations, the user’s personal information will be kept for the following period.

① Information collected when signing up for the service
A. The basis for preservation: the consent of the data subject (user)
B. Preservation period: delete immediately after membership withdrawal
② Information collected when using and processing services
A. The basis for preservation: the consent of the data subject (user)
B. Preservation period: delete immediately after membership withdrawal
③ Collected data on access and use of services
A. The basis for preservation: Communication Secret Protection Act
B. Preservation period: period until prescribed by relevant statute



VI. Deletion of Personal Information

DOCL will delete personal information that has achieved the purpose and preservation period specified in “IV. Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information” without delay, and the procedure and method of deletion are as follows.
① Deletion procedure
A. The information provided by the user when signing up for the DOCL service is transferred to a separate database (hereinafter referred to as “DB”, hard-copy information kept in separate document box) and is destroyed after being stored for a certain period as specified in the “IV. Periods of Retention and Use of Personal Information”, based on DOCL’s policy and other relevant laws.
B. Personal information transferred to a separate DB accordance with the above principle shall never be used for any purpose other than preservation except in accordance with the law or with the consent for the user.
② Deletion method
A. Personal information printed on paper will be crushed with a paper grinder or destroyed through incineration.
B. Personal information stored in the form of an electronic file will be deleted using a technical method that prevents the deleted information from being recovered (reproduce).



VII. Rights of Users (or legal representatives) and Methods of Exercising Their Rights

① Users (or legal representatives) can inquire or modify personal information of themselves or children under the age of 14(in case of legal representative) at any time, and withdraw their consent to collect, use, and provide personal information by withdrawing membership. However, DOCL collects and uses only essential information necessary for the service, so it is impossible to withdraw only part of the consent.
② If the user (or legal representative) wants to withdraw the membership, contact the customer center or personal information management manager by written form, phone, or e-mail. We will act without delay.
③ If the user (or legal representative) wants to inquire or receive “consent status on the collection, use, and provision of personal information”, “personal information collected by consent”, “personal information usage status”, and “personal information provision status to third-party”, the user can contact the personal information management manager and DOCL will take immediate action.
④ If the user (or legal representative) requests correction of an error in personal information, it shall not be used or provided to third-party until correction is made. If DOCL has already provided inaccurate information to a third-party, we will notify them of the corrected information without delay so that necessary correction could be made.
⑤ If the user (or legal representative) does not want to save login information, cookies are not used.
⑥ DOCL processes personal information terminated or deleted at the request of the user (or legal representative) as specified in the “IV. Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information”. DOCL does not view or use information for other purposes.



VIII. Regulations on the Installation and Operation of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices

DOCL provides personalized and customized services using “cookie” that frequently stores and retrieves user information when users access the application of this service. Cookie is a very small text file sent to the user’s browser by the server used to run DOCL’s website. It is stored on the user’s computer hard disk or other access media (including mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs). DOCL uses cookies for the following purposes, and users can refuse to use cookies through settings.
① The purpose of using cookies
A. DOCL stores cookies to increase user convenience by storing user login information and enabling automatic login.
B. DOCL does not store cookies for other purposes.
② Method for cookie usage refusal
A. The user has the right to choose whether to install cookies or not.
B. DOCL does not use cookies if the user chooses not to save the login information.
C. The user can set options in their web browser to allow all cookies, confirmation on every time, or refuse to save all cookies.
D. Refusing to save cookies may cause difficulties or problems in using some services.



IX. Technical and Management Support to Protect Personal Information

DOCL is taking the following technical and management support to ensure safety so that personal information is not lost, stolen, revealed, altered or damaged in using the personal information of the data subject (users).
① Encryption of personal information
A. DOCL encrypts and stores all personal information items in accordance with relevant laws and guidelines from relevant administrative agencies.
② Technical support to prevent hacking.
A. DOCL operates and intrusion blocking system to prevent leakage or damage of the user’s personal information due to hacking of servers and networks.
③ Minimize personal information management personnel and provide education for personal information management
A. DOCL strictly restricts employees who handle personal information. We also provide regular training on the importance of security to our employees.
B. DOCL is monitoring compliance with personal information protection policies and compliance with laws and regulations by the person in charge, and we are trying to correct them immediately if related problems are found.



X. Contact Information

DOCL has a personal information management manger to protect users’ personal information and handle complaints related to it. DOCL will provide prompt and sufficient answers to users’ request.

XI. Application Scope of Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the “COVID-19 CheckUp App Service” provided by DOCL only. Separate privacy policy may be applied to other services of DOCL.



XII. Obligation to Notify

If there is any addition, deletion, or modification of the current privacy policy, the user will be notified through the “Notice” on the application screen 7 days before the change is implemented. However, if there is a change in the collection, use, or provision of personal information to a third-party, it will be notified at 30 days in advance.
